We are the Polar Bear Kings and Queens of Sea Isle City, NJ and this year we are joining together to collectively raise funding in support of a very special cause!! …… Mike’s Seafood Run Walk for Autism Foundation. “Help us… Help the Kids to live their Best Lives” Each year in February, thousands of people flock to the chilly beaches of Sea Isle City, New Jersey to celebrate the tradition of Polar Bear Plunge Weekend. For the past 10 years, individuals would compete to earn the title and crown of “Polar Bear King and Queen of Sea Isle City”. Competition and quest for title was driven by a desire to help raise awareness and funding for autism and special needs. One out of 59 children are Diagnosed with Autism, making it more common than Pediatric Cancer, Diabetes, and AIDS combined. Autism impairs a person’s ability to communicate and relate to others. Symptoms can range from very mild to quite severe and typically last throughout a person’s lifetime. Mike Monichetti, alon

📞Spinnaker Owner Directory is now available! 106 people signed up to be included. Check it out here.
🔥Heat Check are complete. Everyone should have their heat set at 55*F. Please remind visitors including contractors to set the thermostats to the appropriate temperature before they leave.
⚠Heating and Air Conditioning units:
Due to new government regulations, the equipment that heats and cools the residential units at the Spinnaker is no longer available. New equipment is currently being manufactured that will meet these new standards. However, we have been told there are only about 10 units available in our area. After the 10 are gone, if an order is placed for equipment, there will be a 25 week wait time for delivery. We strongly suggest any owner that has a system that is 8 yrs or older should consider speaking with your HVAC provider ASAP.
**the new equipment may require a different breaker and larger wire to be installed by an electrician.
safety switch for clogged condensate lines:
We have had issues with clogged drains from AC units, which can potentially cause water damage to your unit and units below you. We have had success with what is called a safety switch, which if the drain were to clog, the switch will shut the unit off before any water damage is done, and a service person can then come over to clear the drain. The cost of this safety switch is approximately $220 installed.
We just wanted to make you aware of this device so that anyone who would like to look into this or have it installed as a preventative measure can do so before the busy season.
** Obviously please consult your licensed HVAC person for more details**

🚗Garage Clean Out will begin today. All items not removed will be removed and discarded . This includes but is not limited to bikes, chairs, wagons, and beach toys.
💻Approved October Meeting Minutes are available HERE
Water shut off valves:
We would like to take this time to remind folks to please pay careful attention to your water shut off valve. It should open and close easily. If it is not easily movable, or you are noticing rust or fatigue, please contact a licensed plumber who can assess it and make recommendations for repair or replacement. Should you need to replace your valve a remodeling application needs to be filled out and submitted to the manager as the entire buildings water will need to be shut off for installation.
